2020 Census Coordinator

Lead the effort to ensure that Walla Walla, Columba and Garfield counties receive an accurate census count to help our communities receive vital federal funding!
Census Coordinator sought by nonprofit Blue Mountain Action Council to be the primary contact and coordinator for our region’s 2020 Census efforts: Managing the day-to-day planning, coordination and execution of census activities; branding, messaging, and stakeholder engagement; and interacting frequently and extensively with a wide variety of individuals, businesses, and groups.
Full-time through approximately October 2020, paying $20.45–$26.15/hr, DOQ. Great benefits include medical, vision and dental group insurance; paid holidays; retirement program. Employee will need to provide reliable transportation; mileage is paid.
Qualifications for this position are:
Education and experience:
o Bachelor's degree in planning, public administration, political science, or related field, master’s preferred; and at least four (4) years of relevant experience (public planning at the local government level) in program coordination, program management, and/or community organizing/mobilization;
o Or any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.
Special requirement: Employee must provide own reliable vehicle, have current auto insurance and valid state driver’s license by time of hire, and have good driving record.
